2007 Updates
Brothers,
I pray that each of you have started the new year on a positive note. There are a number of things going on the Zeta Zeta world; this e-mail is meant to brief you on some key events and
updates.
Return to the Nile – Alumni Retreat
The college brothers are planning an Alumni Retreat during the weekend of April 13-15, 2007. This retreat will coincide with the annual Stompdown festivities. The Invitation Letter and the Registration Form can be downloaded by clicking the links above. The files and additional information from Bro. Dunn (current ZZ President) can be found here.
You Can’t Step With Us!!!
That’s right, we’ve got a few stepshow clips from the 1997-2000 era online. You can view these clips in our Video section. Included are stepshows from Show and Tell 1997, the 1997 Black Reign Neo Show, the 1999 Show and Tell, and the 2000 Stompdown.
Note: if anyone has video that they would like me to upload, let me know.
Omega Chapter
Last year, two brothers entered Omega chapter: Bro. Paul Shanor (Jan 15) and Bro. Dennis Sullivan (Aug 3). Please continue to keep the families of both brothers in your thoughts and prayers.
Note: The men accused in the death of Bro. Shanor are currently in police custody. I will continue to provide updates on our the Paul Shanor section of our weblog.
Zeta Zeta Maps
First there was Google Maps, then Yahoo Maps. Now we’ve got Zeta Zeta Maps. Thanks to Google and your updates, I’ve been able to keep a relatively up-to-date map showing the cities that our alumni brothers reside in.
New Photos
You can now sort photos by name, ship, and event. This comes at the right time, as I’ve just uploaded a number of photos from the Sooner Yearbook. You can view them here.
Updated Founder Biographies
We have biographies for five of our nine founders. I’ve recently uploaded the biography for Bro. Jacob Simmons. I’m still looking for information on Bros. Farrell Stevenson, Eddie Hinton, and Chris Clayton. Any contact information for Bros. Hinton and Clayton or biographical information on Bro. Stevenson would be greatly appreciated.
Chapter History Effort
The effort to chronicle our chapter history is still underway. I am every intention of having a written
version available at the October reunion. Keep your ears tuned in for more
information as we near the summer
Again, thank you for all your support and interest over the last three years. Please continue to provide updates and information for our history effort. Our goal is to have a complete history of our chapter, from the informational session attended by our founders to the events of today.
